Vertical Jigging Salmon! INSANE Fishing!

the channel. Today, you can't see me, but I'm just getting our... we've got our... we've got our kayak

ready to rock and roll here. Just making our way down to the water. Here we go

Oh yes, got some new pedals. You can really feel good with these little

nice and grippy little spikes. Shout out to YouTube channels like KC Kayak Fishing

You guys have some great tips and I've utilized many of them. So thank you

for those tips because these pedals were a good call. All right, we're going out here not far and we're going to focus on some bottlefish

We're not even using bait and I think we're going to smash them today. So if I see lots of bait, maybe some salmon on the sounder, I might cross my trolling rod. But right

now I'm going to focus on a lingcod and a keeper rockfish. So that's the focus

All right, we're getting really shallow now. As you can see, maybe not. Although I don't see any fish on the thing

Let's see, put this little nib down to work here. We're looking for rockfish or a lingcod

If this was tomorrow, he'd be bonked. You guys see this fish? Look at the colorings. Maybe I'll get around here

even maybe I should have used shoot. Yeah, the troubles are no good for salmon. Shoot

I should have switched out. I just I just threw the factory one here. Oh, geez

I feel bad. I got to switch those out right away. That ticks me off, actually, that

one. He just took it so well to like sometimes the troubles you can get away with it

But that's a classic example of why you need to switch. I don't have my sidewash hooks with me

I should have done that earlier. Usually I switch these out for my sidewash. I'm going for salmon

but I was catching some lingcod on this lure, so I didn't really. I'm looking for bottom fish today. I just happened to hook into that guy

Shoot. Today is a bottom day. It was a bottom day fishing. It's been all day

and I just happened to hook into that guy. He's beautiful fish, but I can't keep him right now. But I mean, it's a great fight. But

tomorrow he would have been bonked. I could kill him tomorrow. That's the thing. It's crazy

He did swim away though. That's good

Alright, I've got a rockfish. I've got this guy. I'd say it's a pretty good day

We got some bottom fish, which we wanted. So we can make some food

We can make some fish tacos or whatever. I think we dialed in a nice

little salmon jigging approach. We dialed that in pretty well. Actually I feel pretty confident about that now. So that's pretty cool

Tomorrow is the opener. I really like trolling, but I might do a little bit more jigging now
