We are here. We're going to fish here.
2:14
Sometimes when they swallow the hook like that you got to kill them. They're just, they're going to bleed
2:18
It's too bad. Never mind, just go. There it is. There he is. Number two. 🎶
3:01
This is a bit bigger one.
3:12
Hey guys, just a quick outro on our day today. So I just came out to Rice Lake just for literally half an hour, not even
3:17
Caught three fish, one let go. And I kept these two little guys here
3:21
So we'll toss them on the pan fry. Just a quick overview of what we're using
3:25
Today I was using a very ultra light spinning rod. Really small, little six foot or five foot six one
3:31
You need ultra light for these fish because they're so small. I used a little weight, as you can see
3:36
A little weight on, I think my main line is four pound monofilament
3:42
From the weight to the hook, it's about four feet of leader
3:47
And I used the same main line, it's just so light. I figured you don't need any special leader
3:51
The hook I use is pretty small. I don't know if you can see this
3:55
And actually it ended up being too small because they hooked it and they swallowed it. So that was problematic
4:00
So I'm going to use bigger hooks next time. The bait I was using was this power bait
4:04
You just put it on a little ball on the hook, just cover the hook
4:08
And all you do is just cast it out there. Let it sit on the bottom, tighten up the line so you can feel the little tap, tap, tap
4:13
Little set. I caught these guys in literally 15 minutes. So you can do that too
4:18
Real easy here at Rice Lake. Beautiful day, go for a nice walk, bring the family usually
4:23
So it's really good fishing. So look online. You can see on GoFishBC
4:28
I'll put the link in the video. But you can keep track of what lakes are being stocked
4:32
And that's important to follow because, you know, give a week or so after they stock the lake and let the fish settle down a little bit
4:40
And then it's great fishing. Spoons, spinners, anything actually for these trout in these local lakes
4:45
So this one's right in my backyard. So I really enjoy coming here. And that's it for me
4:50
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah
4:56
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah
5:02
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah
5:08
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah
5:14
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah
