Alright, here we are in Garry Point Park. We are going fishing for pike minnow today
0:06
I've got my son and our family here. And we've never fished here before, so we're just exploring
0:13
Do you have anything to say to the camera there, Asher? With your mouth full? No
0:18
No. No, nothing to say. Are we going to go fishing? Yep, we're going to go fishing. Here we go
0:30
Look at this fishing going on here. This is great. The fishermen are getting set up
0:54
They're getting at work here. We've got the master fisherman going to town here. He's got some good reeling. Keep that reeling
1:07
Keep reeling. Quick, quick, quick. Ah, there you go. Okay. You don't have to go very far. They're not far offshore
1:19
There's bigger ones way out there. I don't know
1:30
Got him. Yeah, I got a good one. This is a good one
1:35
This one's a good one. This is a bigger one. I got a bigger one
2:01
Oh, yeah. That's a good-sized fish. That's a good-sized pike metal. There we go
2:31
So some deeper ones here. Some bigger ones here. Nico, do you know your good luck? You're like my fishing good luck charm, man
2:41
Did you want to cast a reel or anything? Did you want to do this
2:50
Let's go. Let's take that out. Their mouths are so... I'm going to get my tweezers for this one
2:59
I'm just going to do a little surgery here. Sorry, buddy. Oh, oh, whoops. There we go. That works
3:10
That's a good way to release them. I'll bring it over for the boys here
3:22
Is he alive or dead? Is he alive? Yeah. Right now? Yeah
3:29
He's just got something hooked in his lip. Are you trying to get it out? Yeah
3:35
Wait, now, is he dead? Nope. There you go. There he goes
3:47
So my theory is it's an outgoing tide right now. We're about three or four hours after high tide
3:53
So the tide's moving back out this way. Right here we've got a little bit of shelter. And where I'm getting the pike minnow are pretty close to shore, away from the heavier current
4:04
So the current's moving out here. So I feel like the fish are facing this way and they're just ambushing anything that's kind of coming down the current there
4:11
Really where it slows right here, the water gets a little more slack, you can see little fish jumping
4:17
And they're all just kind of grabbing that food or that bait that's drifting down there. So that's kind of the technique I'm using. I'm casting straight out there and letting the current take my spinner nice and slow, retrieving it right there
4:26
And boom, I'm getting hit right around there. This actually feels pretty good
4:36
Pretty decent. Yeah, he is pretty decent. Single barbless hooks. So I've got to..
4:48
Let's tow him around here. Alright, look at that. Hold him like a bass
5:09
Another good one. Alright, this guy's not bad. Let's let him go
5:27
So this one is a silver with a little red Dick Knight
5:34
As you can see, nice little bait. Perfect. Oh yeah, they're coming our way too. Whoa
5:55
That was crazy. Totally crazy. You would have gotten hit. I got it soaked
6:06
So that's the end of the trip. Today we were fishing spoons and spinners
6:14
We caught four fish. Yeah, I caught four. How do we sign out of this thing
6:25
What's the sign up? I guess we just punch the camera
